Coastal cities in China are prospering since the
implementation of the nation’s open-door policy and churches there are growing too. However, life is
hard in some remote and economically backward areas, of which some are still unreached by the gospel.
Fountainhead Association (FHA) helps to develop these communities, promotes education and medical care,
cooperates with Christian groups for exchanges and ministries. |

Bible training centers The ratio of properly trained pastors to believers is extremely low in China. Daily operation of many churches becomes the work of volunteer workers and lay leaders who badly need suitable training. One of the FHA’s aims is to help local churches build training centers for these loyal servants. The required building costs range from HK$ 10,000 to HK$ 400,000. |

Education for pastors’ kids Pastors in China are mostly under-paid(RMB 275 to RMB 400 in the poor areas) and many are weighed down by the financial burden of maintaining their families. Some pastors have to work on the side to make ends meet and pay the school fees for their children. The school fees range from HK$ 600 for primary education to HK$ 3,000 for secondary education. |

Financial support for Bible students Many lay leaders and believers who have been recommended by churches and accepted by the seminaries are unable to pay the tuition. So, many have to delay their enrolment or drop out. Our donations can help put them on the road of service. About HK$ 5,000 a year is needed to pay for a student’s room and board and tuition. |
